Welcome to Year 2

Hengistbury Head Trip

The Sealions had a fantastic time visiting the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre on Wednesday and the sunny weather was perfect. The children really enjoyed spending time exploring and investigating in the garden.  They looked for and found a range of minibeasts in different areas of the garden and also learnt about different types of leaves and trees. The children were very well behaved and were so enthusiastic and keen to get involved! The rangers at the centre did such a great job of leading the activities and all the children learnt some facts about minibeasts too. Click here to see a few of our photos from the trip.

The Year 2 team are so impressed with how the children have come back from the summer holidays, looking smart in their uniforms and ready to learn. We have some fantastic learning planned this half term including a science focus on habitats. Swimming will take place every Wednesday during the Autumn term so please provide your child with a named towel, costume/shorts and swimming hat. If you intend to watch your child, we request you do so from the viewing gallery. Sealions will swim at 9.40-10.10 and Whales 10.10-10.40. If you have any concerns, please speak to your child’s class teacher on the door or make an appointment at the office.
We look forward to a successful and exciting term ahead.
