At our school, we use the Super Sonic Phonic Friends scheme of work to support children in developing clear, confident, and fluent handwriting. This approach links handwriting directly to phonics, helping children to form letters correctly while reinforcing the sounds they are learning. Through fun characters, engaging stories, and consistent practice, pupils are taught the correct letter formation, pencil grip, and posture from the very beginning. As children progress, they build accuracy, speed, and pride in their written work, laying strong foundations for future learning across the curriculum.
